Today, we were informed about our placements and after which we travelled to the area centre… there wasn’t much about though. They did have a Foot Locker, but all of the banks were crap! None of them exchanged money, but I couldn’t believe it when I saw Nintendo DS’s and laptops being sold in one bank. What a ghetto mentality!

On our way back we visited the nearby youth club owned by the same company that runs the facility [Kids and Co]. They had a gym, rollerblades and skateboards that I would really like to make use of when I get the time.

And then we had lunch. Sauerkraut, a jumbo sausage, soup, mashed potato and salad. I didn’t have a problem with the sauerkraut, but it was WAAAAAAAAAYYYYY to strong. I had to mix it with the mashed potato to eat it. The jumbo sausage was basically some oversized grilled frankfurter. I can’t complain though, cos the food was nice.

The German Parliament building (I don’t know how to spell it for love nor money) looks amazing. One can tell it’s been there for sometime but it has class and a modern touch to it. It’s also a very clean area. The German public seem to recycle a lot. Their buses are longer than ours, and have three doors, but sadly we didn’t get to go on one. Instead we went to the Brandenburg Gates, which is where some of the Berlin Wall used to be. We got harassed by some stupid beggar woman and a child. When the woman walked off I was so surprised. How could she leave her offspring alone in some crowd!

We walked to the Jewish Memorial, and got educated about the structure and its purpose. We explored it, and some random guy scared me! I think it covers a square mile, and I reflected on its history. Then, we walked up the road, where there were parts of what used to be the Berlin wall and there’s a really big ski slope. There was a small funfair, and some others and I rode down it in tyres. It was so fun! I think I was screaming “SHIZZLE!” all the time. We then went to ‘Plus’, a supermarket and bought some munchies, after which we went home. I must admit, the first two days have been really fun!

PS: The German Underground is WICKED! Its runs so smoothly and quickly, and the carriages are joined by rubber so you can walk through the whole train!
