Today we woke up to the shining sun for early breakfast, a selection of cold meats as and cereal. Then we caught the train to Leipzig. Our first stop was the printing museum. In the museum we looked at various printing machines, old to modern. We learnt about the old printing methods and the ones used today, as well as watching demonstrations with the help of our translator to see how the machinery is used in industry, while also gaining some free stuff for Doug.
Next we ventured to the renowned Leipzig Zoo, after our lunch of cold meat and bread, where we were greeted with grey skies, and bad weather. Lions, Gorillas, snakes, sharks, flamingos and leopards were some of the many animals we saw; to our disappointment we didn’t get to see some animals due to the harsh rainy conditions and they did not have pandas! However we did get some good pictures and footage, which makes everything all okay.
After our adventure we returned to Naunhof for a meal of cold meats yet again and an interesting soup followed by salad, but overall a decent meal. I think today was a successful day of exploring the city, were our train tickets where right for once, as far as we know (since there was no inspector on today’s train) and we had fun. And we only had to visit a coffee shop twice today!
