Today we woke up quite early as we had to go the MDR Media City that was located in the centre of Leipzig. MDR is a TV, radio and film company. I was quite excited to go there. As the team Grillensee, we were all ready to get to breakfast. We headed to House One where all the juicy and fruity food is. At least there was cheese because Ich liebe cheese jaaa!

We then went on our usual journey on the train to Leipzig jaa! When we first arrived at the Media City we had a long wait because there seemed to be some sort of mix up. They didn’t know that we were coming, so we waited, waited and waited. Then we decided to go sit in beautiful open space, a small open restaurant where we had our lunch- more food! Jaa.

Finally the tour guide came and showed us around the Media City. She showed us different individual studios that each had their own shows or news programmes. I was quite interested in this profession stuff. The studios were quite theatrical, they had lots of lights and cameras, some had green screens, which were used when the producer wanted to the change the backgrounds and use different background effects.  It all looked quite impressive and interesting. We saw the Media City from outside and inside. I’ve been to other studios but I haven’t seen one quite like this!

After the tour we headed back to Grillensee where all the jolly German kids were still running around and enjoying themselves.
