We got our second lie-in today, which was, to be honest, well deserved! (It also felt good.) We had our usual cereal, bread or ham and cheese breakfast at 10am. We then had some free time and got our clothes back from the wash. Yippee clean pyjamas!
Two and a half hours later… lunch! Pork stakes in gravy sauce, green beans rolled in a bacon strip and wedges (a touch of home). Today was a lucky day because we had desert. A chocolate yogurt or a fruity jam yogurt… (The two together tasted quite good).
We then had to work. We set out to take pictures of kids/adults playing. Ana and I had to take pictures of kids playing for a German newspaper. We got to play pool, table football and ping-pong! The German gests started to leave around 3pm. We are now alone again.
Tonight’s dinner was barbecue; in the rain. Doug was in charge of cooking the sausages… interesting method! The sausages ended up to be edible and good. We had a variety of salads and sauces on the side. We will have to wait and see tomorrow morning if the sausages were as good as we thought. Tonight’s’ desert was a lemon cake (from yesterdays trip to Lidl) for Ana 17’s birthday, Happy Birthday Ana.
That’s it for tonight because we have an early start, 8am (big change from 10am)!
